Kalevi Helvetti is the alterego of guitarist Pertti Kurikka, from the Finnish punk band Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät.
Kalevi Helvetti performs as a musician, stage performer, poet, writer and a visual artist.

About Kalevi Helvetti
People in the church listen to the organs playing… when the music stops the coffin starts to open slowly... it’s dark and all the people are afraid. They can hear a sceleton moving in the coffin, and see it coming in a light of death to scare the people of the church.
Dressed in a vampire outfit Kalevi Helvetti performs as a musician, visual artist and a poet. The artwork of Kalevi Helvetti is full of emotions. Although his work reflects inner anxiety and demons, it's filled with humor too. The pictures are inspired by the Bible and ghost trains.
Kalevi's work is available in Pertti's Choice Outsider Art Gallery and Agency.
His poetry works have been published by a Mexican publisher Editions Hungria.
"My art is about skeletons. I have seen a skeleton somewhere, that's why I am interested."

"I woke up in the morning. After breakfast I drew some Plagues. We went to see Empire State Building and saw the beautiful city of America. If you step on Plague, it's not nice to have spots."
